Frequently Asked Questions

Each claim can vary depending on the complexity or the claim and on the process with the individual insurer or bank. Our job is to get you back the maximum! Our current average time scales are between 30 to 120 days The sooner you get your claim started and provide us the requested documents the sooner Get My Refund can verify a refund due! Good question!!!

1. Whether it is active or finished, you need to have taken out a loan or had some type of credit. for example Credit card, Home loan, Personal Loan or Vehicle Loan!

2 We deal with mis-sold insurances and mis sold loans, these kind of insurances were usually put on to loans without you knowing! Or maybe you were not eligible for the product in the first place!

3. We obtain the information from your lenders on your behalf.

4. Once our team check all of your documents, we will let you know if you have a refund to claim!

Easy! There are two ways in which you will receive your refund.

1. If your loan is still active it will be credited back to your loan which will reduce your loan amount, and your term and your overall interest.

(Our fee is then paid direct to us by you or we can set up a payment plan for you)

2. If your loan is finalised and ‘paid out’ usually the refund will go directly back to you from us, in to your nominated bank account.

Please note: If the funds directly go back to you (Our fee is then owed direct to us, by you, within 14 days of refund confirmation)

If you have had a loan either active or finished, either a credit card, home loan, vehicle finance or personal loan then we need to check for you!

1. You complete your details in your online secure portal, here you will sign the relevant Get My Refund documents,

2. We obtain all relevant information from your lender on your behalf to check what is owed,

3. We will do our work to get the maximum refund owed to you. You just sit back, relax and we update you via email or via your portal.

We try our best to find this all for you with the lenders on your behalf.

If you have documents to hand we can also look at these for you, for example:

Car loan finance documents/contracts/invoices, applications Consumer Credit Policy for your car loan, credit card or personal loan.

Gap insurance policy, tyre and rim polices. Any financial loan documents and bank statements.

It is an insurance which covers repair or replacement due to accidental damage to the tyres and in some cases rims of your car, light van or motorcycle. There are maximum claim limits on these polices.

Class Action FAQs

A class action is a lawsuit brought by a group of claimants who suffered wrongdoings in the hands of the defendant. This type of lawsuit is also known as multi-district litigation or mass tort litigation.

Since the compensation for individual injuries may pale in comparison to the cost of a lawsuit, banding a group of claimants together tips the scale in the other direction, making it a suit worth filing.

Besides the claimant attorneys, filing a lawsuit as a group allows consolidation of witnesses, evidence, and other aspects of litigation for enhanced efficiency.

If you opt in be informed that you waive your right to ever complain directly if you are not happy with the refund amount. Any settlement sums you are entitled to will be shared with all the other group members, some members will get more than others – plus deductions of lawyers fees and court costs.

We work on behalf of you as an individual on all insurances (if and where we can and not just the class action ones) and work towards obtaining the maximum refund you are entitled to! Class actions can take years to be approved and to go through court process, whilst our refund claims can be completed in a matter of weeks!

This in recent times has worked out to be more than 60% more refund potential in your pocket even after our fees!

Once opted out your refund claim can be completed in less than 60 days, dependent on the complexity of your individual case.
